Figures of Speech
- Simile is when two unlike things are compared using like or as. This will be shown in the poem using the color blue.
- Metaphor is when two unlike things are compared without using like or as. This will be shown using the color purple
- Personification is when inanimate objects are given human qualities. This will be shown using the color red.
- An Apostrophe is when a speaker directly addresses a person or personified thing. This will be shown using the color green.
- An Allusion is a reference to a well-known person, place, event, literary work, or work of art. This will be shown using the color orange.
